How Does it Work?

Pure elemental silver (Ag) is infused into the top surface of the SilverShell™ fabric. Moisture in the sleeping environment causes these micro-particles of pure silver to generate silver ions (Ag+). As microbes come into contact with the fabric, the silver ions (Ag+) deactivate key functions in the bacteria, causing the bacteria to die. The pure elemental silver in our fabric continuously produces silver ions as needed resulting in long lasting antimicrobial action that inhibits 99.97% of bacteria.*
